Coming Soon: Whitney Meyer!!!!!!!

It is rumored that in the age of the caveman, when a man wanted to "marry" a woman, the man would tie her arms and legs so she could not run away. Eventually, however, he would untie her and if she stayed, they willingly "tied the knot." If she ran, then he'd have to find another unfortunate woman to ensnare. I don't know if this is true, but it seems like a somewhat good idea on the man's part. We all know that unless you happen to be quite handsome and charming, you have to win a gal over through personality, thus unmasking your good looks. What man wants to mess with the chase and the number of days it takes to bring a woman close to his heart merely through clever conversation or a good time? Why not tie her up and force her to become near to his heart by sheer force? By the time he unties her, I guess the prayer is she will be so used to his company, she won't be able to imagine life without her brute of a man, regardless of his interspersed bad habits. Not such a terrible idea. I know several girls who might possibly resort to this type of thing to snatch a husband were it socially acceptable.

When Nathan first appeared at Belmont a few years ago, I doubt any sane girl would have cared if he forced her to hang out with him for awhile. This guy would never need rope to snag a wife. My first thoughts about him were "He is good looking." And the thoughts that followed were all positive...What a sweet guy, what a talented guy, what a GREAT match for Whitney.

If you have read my blog in the past, you know what I think of my sister. So...if I approve of her betrothed, you must know he is the creme de la creme. To top it all off, he pulled off one impressive engagement...no ropes involved as far as I know.

The MOST impressive part was that he did not tell a soul how he was going to do it - well, he did have to ask one of Whitney's friends mothers directions to the beach house where Whitney was vacationing with her girlfriends. But NONE of the girls knew! This guy just showed up while they were lounging in their beach clothes eating cheetos in their condo. Great job.

We are all so excited to have Nathan join the family...and we're crossing our fingers for free tickets to Broadway.

Speaking of exciting family announcements, my cousin and long time best friend...after many years dedicated to becoming an amazing physician....is PREGNANT! We are oh so excited and I am positive she and her husband will be amazing parents. We cannot wait to add another little munchkin to the mix.
