Little Rosebud is GROWING

Ella Rose is getting so big. I was rocking her to sleep the other night and could barely contain her in my arms. I just imagined her growing and growing until I can't fold her up on my lap anymore. It's a disconcerting feeling...I desperately want her to grow up, but I also find myself trying to stop time, soak in the way she is right now, so sweet and huggable - still with those big baby cheeks and eyes. I thought the other day: "Remember everything about her right now. The way she is lying in your arms, the way her eyes look staring at you, the way she smells..." but no matter how much you concentrate, you cannot stop the clock. You're helpless to capture any moment.

Thank goodness we don't tend to dwell on these things. Instead, we go on living day by day, God willing, enjoying every moment we can.
The other day I was trying to feed Ella (without a bib) on the bed, which usually turns out ok but she quickly grabbed the spoon, getting bright orange carrots all over her. I realized I was being lazy by feeding her this way anyway, so gave up and strapped her in her high chair, bib on and extra spoon in hand to go at it all by herself:

Ella also recently took her FIRST overnight trip at a hotel when we went to the MWOA rally. She seemed to like it!!
